Although Derek Daly is an award-winning ESPN television broadcaster, he is best known as a former World Champion Race Car driver. He worked as a laborer in Australian iron ore mines before living his dream by traveling the world as a professional race car driver. It was while living this dream, however, that he experienced the nightmare of almost losing his life in a 200mph crash in 1984. Derek has conducted original research with some of the greatest names in the sport of auto racing to determine why some athletes fail to reach their true potential, and why others become so successful. Because this research parallels business and life so closely, he uses his findings as the basis of his presentations.
