She grew up in a tiny 18-foot trailer in upstate New York, flunked out of three colleges, suffered permanent blindness in one eye, and lost her younger sister to breast cancer. Carol is a contributor to "Chicken Soup for the Soul," has appeared on "The Tonight Show," and had a role in several movies.
