Patrick Lencioni specialzes in executive team development and organizational health
Patrick Lencioni is the founder and president of The Table Group, Inc., a specialized management-consulting firm focused on executive team development and organizational health. Since establishing the firm in 1997, Lencioni has been speaking, consulting and writing about topics related to leadership, organizational health, teamwork, change and corporate culture.
While coaching and consulting to CEOs and other executives, Lencioni began to observe fundamental behavioral patterns among his clients that later formed the basis of his original theories on leadership. At the urging of those same clients and other colleagues, Lencioni penned his first best-selling book, The Five Temptations of a CEO, positioning him as the leader in the new trend of business fiction. Two years later in the fall of 2000, he completed his second leadership fable, The Four Obsessions of an Extraordinary Executive. His highly anticipated book, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team, was added to the Lencioni Leadership Collection in the spring of 2002.
Lencioni's writings are based on his consulting work with numerous Bay Area companies and national organizations, including Fortune 500 corporations, high profile post-IPO companies, start-ups, universities and non-profit organizations. His clients cover a broad spectrum of industries, ranging from technology and professional services to retail and manufacturing.
In addition to his writing and consulting, Lencioni is a highly sought-after public speaker. He has delivered keynote addresses to a wide variety of audiences, including Novell, Lucas Digital, AT&T, New York Life, The American Chamber of Commerce Executives, Visa, TEC Worldwide, Avnet, Inc. and Young Presidents' Organization.
Prior to founding The Table Group, Lencioni worked at Bain & Company, Oracle Corporation and Sybase, where he was vice president of organizational development. He also serves on numerous advisory boards and currently sits on the National Board of Directors for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America.
